Sooyeon Lim is an architect working across cultural projects, hospitality, exhibitions and residential environments. Her work is shaped by a cross-continental background, born in Seoul, Tokyo and London.
She studied at the Architectural Association(London, UK) and graduated in Architectural Design from Konkuk University(Seoul, Korea). She has contributed to projects with Adjaye Associates, Hopkins Architects, Kengo Kuma and Associates, CRAB Studio and Hyupdongwon. Her work includes bespoke residences for The Peninsula London, a series of landmark projects in the Middle East, the historic site exhibition at Dongdaemun Design Plaza, and participation in the Venice Architecture Biennale with the Mnemonic exhibition and more.
Her practice focuses on clarity of form, sensitivity to context and the careful calibration of detail. She is interested in how architecture choreographs movement, frames experience and creates meaningful connections between people and their surroundings.
